What is CovidLine?

CovidLine is a FREE hotline for anyone who is uninsured or doesn’t have a doctor to call to receive medical screening of COVID-19 symptoms.

Who is eligible for CovidLine?

Anyone who is without health insurance in Colorado – for whatever reason – is eligible to call CovidLine. We have English and Spanish-speaking volunteers ready to talk with you!

What should I do if I have insurance?

All insurance providers are required to offer telehealth services for $0 cost to patients in Colorado. Go to your insurer’s website or call the number on your insurance card to learn how to get connected to your telehealth services. 

How do I talk to a doctor?

When calling the hotline, your symptoms will be screened with an automated system. If you are determined to require a call with a provider, you will be instructed to await a call-back. CovidLine volunteers will call you shortly after to connect you with a provider!

What can CovidLine provide patients?

CovidLine patients can receive medical advice from providers, referrals to local testing, connection to community resources, and notes for employers – all for free.

Where do I need to live to call CovidLine?

This service is for all uninsured people living in Colorado – our target population now is anyone living in Douglas, Arapahoe, or Adams counties.

Why would I need to call CovidLine?

If you need evaluation of COVID-19 symptoms (fevers, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, loss of taste/smell) and are uninsured. 

When will I receive a call back?

If you are determined to need a call from the initial screening of symptoms, you will receive a call back when our volunteers are staffed – between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm daily.

Who is volunteering for CovidLine?

CovidLine volunteers include retired physicians, medical students from Rocky Vista University, other medical professionals, and the “Citizens Software Engineering” group.

Why is this service needed?

There are many uninsured in Colorado who have difficulties accessing medical care. CovidLine provides a low-barrier way to reach a provider for virtual care.

What if I need medical care for issues other than COVID-19 and am uninsured?
